Resident(s) salute Prince’s purple majesty on Prince Street
Prince Rogers Nelson, who died recently at his Paisley Park recording studio complex in Minnesota, was the soundtrack of our lives, the inspiration for a generation of musicians and fans.
Now, while many cities across the country have offered some sort of purple salute to the Minnesota music icon, here in Alexandria, Virginia, some resident(s) have taken to adorn some of the Prince Street signs with purple ribbons in the Old Town area. Click on each of the images for larger views.
Just learned my kids thought Prince Street in Alexandria, VA, was probably named after the artist.
