Beatley Friends’ Group Spring Book Sale Starting Tuesday, March 21

The Friends of the Beatley Central Library will hold their Spring Book Sale from Tuesday, March 21 to Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Charles E. Beatley, Jr. Central Library, located at 5005 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22304. Free parking is available.

Over 30,000 books, DVDs, CDs and audio books, donated by community members, will be available for sale. Most cost less than $3.00. All proceeds benefit the programs and facilities of the Library.

  • Sunday, March 26 | 1:00PM – 4:30PM (Dollar Day on Sunday)

Do you or your family utilize the Duncan Library?

The Friends of Duncan Library BOOK SALE is currently ongoing and all proceeds directly support programs and collections at only the Duncan branch that are not covered by the city budget. In the past year over $24,000 has been raised by the Friends and put back into Duncan.

There are thousands of books on a wide variety of subjects and genres including children’s and young adult books. Books start at .50 for childrens and $1.00 for adults. There are also CDs and DVDs available.

Remaining Sale Hours

  • Friday – until 5:00PM
  • Sat – 10:00am – 3:00PM (bag sale starts @ 1PM $5/bag)

Please come out and support our community library and consider becoming a member of the Friends – it’s tax deductible! The branch is located at 2501 Commonwealth Avenue in the Del Ray area of Alexandria, Virginia.

(volunteers get “first dibs” on the massive inventory!).
