  • Family fun night @ Chinquapin Park Recreation Center – Bring the whole family to Family Fun Nights for swimming and fun for all ages on Friday evenings. Pool games include beach ball relays, water basketball, diving for prizes and fun on the ‘Aqua Challenge’ floating obstacle course.   • Artist reception @ cove Old Town – cove will partner with ArtSee to open the doors of their Alexandria (805 King Street, Alexandria, VA) location for a reception featuring the work of Alexandria artist, Pete McCutchen. The work on display shares McCuthcen’s “Geometrics” serices.
  • Public budget presentation @ Beatley Library – Acting Alexandria City Manager Mark Jinks will publicly present his Fiscal Year 2016 Proposed Operating Budget & Capital Improvement Program at Beatley Library. Following his presentation, Jinks will answer questions from in-person attendees and online viewers.
  • Free income tax preparation – Volunteer tax preparers will assist qualifying residents complete their 2014 income tax forms. First come, first served. Spanish-speaking volunteers will be available.
  • Tonight @ The Birchmere – An Evening with Seth Avett & Jessica Lea Mayfield (SOLD OUT)
