The Alexandria Police Department (APD) will be holding a community meeting at Charles Houston Recreation Center on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 6:30 PM. APD will be discussing the most recent homicide in the neighborhood and they look to further the communication between the police department and the community.

Potomac Yard Metrorail Station - Alternative B

The public is invited to the next Potomac Yard Metrorail Implementation Group (PYMIG) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, located at 901 Wythe Street in Alexandria.

The meeting will be the first in a series of sessions seeking public input into the station concept design. The meeting will include an overview of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) design requirements, as well as group discussions related to design principles and strategies for the station and park programming. The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 16.
