Red White and Beagle Flyer

Weeks ago, I re-introduced the Saturday palate cleanser posts (a.k.a. video of the week) on Red Brick Town. During the week, I post things going on in the neighborhood, about road closures, and news/events happening in the Alexandria, Virginia community. So I thought maybe one post during the week could just be for fun. Therefore, a post that will cleanse the palate.

For this week, given just how much Alexandrians LOVE their pets (especially dogs), here is a video going viral of a schnauzer who hadn’t seen its owner in two years and literally passes out from happiness. According to the video, the schnauzer, Casey, was taken to the vet and is 100% okay.

Artfully Gifts & Chocolate, located at 506 John Carlyle Street (next to the 7-11) in our Carlyle neighborhood, is hosting a ‘Yappy Hour’ for dogs and there owners tonight (June 24) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. featuring the fantastic local business Karing By Kristina. Proceeds from the ‘Yappy Hour’ will go toward the Humane Society.

While you’re there, be sure to check the store’s awesome ‘Bark Bar’ and pick up some great Barkley Square items for your dog.
