APD badgeOn Thursday evening (August 21), a citizen arranged to meet an unknown individual in the 400 block of N. Peyton Street in the Parker Gray neighborhood to purchase several cell phones for sale through Craigslist. When the citizen arrived around 9:50 P.M., the individual got into his vehicle, produced a handgun, and robbed the victim of $300 (negotiated purchase price of the cell phones). The suspect then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black Hispanic male, 6’ tall, medium complexion and wearing a gray hoodie. The Police Department would like to remind the public that these types of transactions should be conducted in a well-lit public area, preferably in a high traffic area.
